Back to the First Love
In the Bible we see the children of Israel turning away from God. They became proud, worshiped other gods and disobeyed God’s law. However, God in His love and mercy continued reaching out to them in the hope that they would return back to Him wholeheartedly, their First Love. Sometimes we may find ourselves in a place far from where we used to be with God. However, God still in His love and mercy is reaching out to us. This workshop will focus on how we can rekindle the spark in our relationship with God.
The Spirit of Prophecy
When Adventists hear the phrase “Spirit of Prophecy”, perhaps one of the first names that come to their minds is that of Ellen G. White. Often citations from her writings are introduced with, “As the Spirit of Prophecy says ...”. But is this label only to include the writings of EGW? Since the Adventist church is the church of the last days, will the Spirit of Prophecy only be given to Adventists? How does the Bible define the Spirit of Prophecy, and is it actually possible to receive this divine gift from God in the 21st century? How can we distinguish the true Spirit from the many false spirits and how can we learn from the church's experience with this?
The Faith that makes the Christian
In the book of Romans Paul says in chapter 1:16-17 “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto Salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith”. In this workshop we will look at what it means to have faith in God and how important it is to experience a real, close and powerful walk with God. A walk that takes you from faith to FAITH in Him.

Not only elderly people, but also the youth of today’s Adventism. 8 out of 10 young adults at secular universities in the United States leave the church before graduation. What can we do? The solution has to be in God’s word, but where is it? What can we learn from the apostolic church regarding this significant problem?

Priorities Among a Thousand Things
We must turn away from a thousand topics that invite attention. There are matters that consume time and arouse inquiry, but end in nothing. The highest interests demand the close attention and energy that are so often given to comparatively insignificant things. (Ministry of Healing p.456)
What are these thousand topics in my life? What are the so-called highest interests? In this seminar, we will look at biblical guidelines that help us to understand more clearly how to prioritize.
